The Basic Rules of the World Journey Round the World Ticket

IMPORTANT NOTE: MAXIMUM 16 SEGMENTS FOR TICKETS ISSUED ON/AFTER 01JUN08 - INCLUDING SURFACE SEGMENTS ARE PERMITTED FOR THE ENTIRE JOURNEY.

Airport Taxes and Airline Fuel Surcharges:
Fares INCLUDE ticketing/service charges but EXCLUDE prepaid airport tax and airline fuel surcharges which vary depending on exact route. These generally range from £250 to £700 depending on the number of destinations and booking class. Please call us for an exact costing for your specific itinerary.

Minimum/maximum trip duration:
10 days minimum outside of Europe. Maximum trip duration 365 days. Open dated tickets are not possible.

Stopovers:
Minimum of 3 stopovers are required. A maximum of 15 stopovers are permitted.

No more than 2 stopovers are permitted at the same city.

Transits:
A maximum of 2 transits permitted at the same city (subject to maximum sector limit above). Transits are included in the total mileage calculation for the ticket. 4 Transfers are permitted at Amsterdam/K.Lumpur.

Surface sectors:
Permitted. Each surface sector counts as one stop and is included in the total mileage and stopover calculation for the ticket.

Basic Route:
Travel must be "round the world" and must include one Transatlantic and one Transpacific crossing. Backtracking is permitted but can substantially increase the mileage.

Class Upgrades
Upgrade from Economy to Business Class for USD700 per flight. (one flight coupon only per itinerary)
Upgrade from Business to First Class for USD1500 per flight. (one flight coupon only per itinerary)

Payment:
A non-refundable deposit of £75 will secure your seat (£150 for business or first class). We will then email your itinerary and confirmation to you. Due to airline ticketing time limits your balance must normally be paid within 7 days of reservation to enable us to issue your tickets. Once tickets have been issued we are unable to make any changes to you itinerary. Any changes need to be made direct with the relevent airline after your initial departure. (There is a 2% handling fee of paying your balance by credit card).

Changes:
Prior to departure: We are unable to make changes to itineraries once tickets have been issued.
After Departure: After your first intercontinental sector date and route changes are permitted at $125 USD. Change fee does not apply when confirming open segments. Once you have started your trip all changes must be made directly with the airline.

Child fares:
75% of adult fare for children 2 - 11 years old throughout duration of trip (No discount on surcharges and taxes).

Infant fares:
10% of adult fare for infants under 2 years old throughout duration of trip (No discount on surcharges).

Cancellation fees:
Before departure - 25% cancellation fee.
After departure - no refund.
