The Basic Rules of the Star Alliance Round the World Ticket

Airport Taxes and Airline Fuel Surcharges:
Vary depending on your route and exchange rates at the time of ticketing. Range from £150 to £500 depending on your destinations. Please call us for a quote.

Minimum/maximum trip duration:

10 days minimum outside of Europe. Maximum trip duration 365 days. Open dated tickets are not possible.


Stops:

Minimum of 3 stops (minimum 24 hours in each city). Maximum of 5 stops.
(No more than 24 sectors, including surface sectors permitted on the entire journey).
Only 1 stop permitted in same city.

Transits:
Unlimited transits permitted (subject to maximum sector limit above). Transits are included in the total mileage calculation for the ticket. No more than 3 transit permitted at one city.

Surface sectors:
Permitted. Each surface sector counts as one stop and is included in the total mileage and stopover calculation for the ticket.

Basic Route:
Travel must be "round the world" and must include one Transatlantic and one Transpacific crossing. Backtracking is permitted but can substantially increase the mileage.

Upgrades/Surcharges:
Supplements apply for Business Class travel on certain Singapore airlines A340 and A380 services. please contact our reservations team for further details. 
Upgrade to Air New Zealand Premium Economy Class from £250 per sector. .
Upgrade to SAS Economy Extra for £350 per flight.
Other upgrades may be available, please call us for details.

Payment:
A non-refundable deposit of £75 will secure your seat (£150 for business or first class).  We will then email your itinerary and confirmation to you.  Your balance must normally be paid within 7 days of reservation to enable us to issue your tickets within airline ticketing time limits.

Changes:
After starting your trip date changes are free or for a small local admin fee. Route changes are $125 USD (or local equivalent). Once you have started your trip all changes must be made directly with the airline.
For changes prior to departure please check with our travel consultants when making your reservation.


Child fares:
75% of adult fare for children 2 - 11 years old throughout duartion of trip (No discount on surcharges and taxes).

Infant fares:
10% of adult fare for infants under 2 years old throughout duration of trip (No discount on surcharges).

Cancellation fees:
Before departure - 25% of airfare.
After departure - no refund.
